Stuff I Thought About

Left Brains Are People, Too

January 13, 2011

I’ve been thinking a lot about personality types and how our natural tendencies influence our decision-making and relationships.

That’s a fancy way of saying that I’ve been thinking about why I do the things I do, why I like the things I like, and is there any hope for change.

I’ve determined that I’m an INTJ, have a Melancholy personality type, and am left-brain dominant. Is there any hope for me???

I think there is hope. Actually, I KNOW IT. I know that a list of characteristics does not define or limit me. I’m inhabited by the Spirit of the Living God, and with Him all things are possible!

And if I need proof that I can behave outside of my natural bent, all I need to do is watch this video.

Poor Left Brain had a senior moment or brain fart or whatever you want to call it. Analyzing went out the window and he just went with the flow. The result was less than ideal, but hey, Mrs. Left Brain got a great story out of it!

God, Unfiltered

Laziness, Tomato Sauce, and King David

December 15, 2010

Yesterday I stated that a focus on increasing church membership can sometimes distract from discipling believers. When I wrote that I was thinking about my years teaching a Sunday morning Bible study class. There were times that I felt pressure to somehow increase my class size. I was on pins and needles every week to [...]
